The Killer Kershaw Blur

Kai USA is undeniably one of the most highly respected knife manufacturers in the world today, and it's hardly surprising that their Kershaw knives brands have acquired a phenomenal fan base over the years. Of course it only stands to reason that with such a strong following, the company is under a tremendous amount of pressure to manufacture knives of the highest quality imaginable, and their flagship Kershaw knives are certainly no exception to the rule. In fact, the amount of attention that has gone into creating perfect aesthetics is evident from the minute you pick one up, and of course the function of the knife has by no means been compromise at all.

One of the first things you'll notice is that it has the most amazing grip. Bear in mind that the Kershaw Blur incorporates a flatter handle than most of the other models, and for this reason the manufacturer had to make absolutely certain that there is sufficient grip to allow the user to handle the knife with ease.

The knife handle is light and durable since it is made from anodized aluminum-the same type of metal that is used for building airplanes. The approximate weight of the Kershaw Blur is about 4.2 oz which is impressive when one considers that the knife is about 4.5 inches long.

When a person purchases a quality knife, they do of course expect it to have a blade which is strong, and one which won't rust the minute some water gets on it, and once again the manufacturers have made sure buyers won't be disappointed, in that the blade is made from stainless steel. The knives are shipped to buyers pre-sharpened, so of course there's no need for you to do so when it arrives. You'll also notice that when compared to other similar knives, the Kershaw Blur keeps its sharpness for a far longer period of time.

The new Kershaw Blur features a thumb stud rather than the traditional trigger, so of course this is something which some Kershaw die-hards might have a problem with, even though this change does not have any negative affect on the usability of the knife.

The good thing is that Kershaw Blur still retains the Speed Safe concept thus lowering the risk of one inadvertently cutting injuring themselves when handling the knife. In addition, the ability to open the blade with just one hand is retained.

It should also be mentioned that even though the blade has been manufactured from high quality stainless steel, that doesn't mean that it's impossible for it to rust. With that said, it's not very likely unless your knife is stored primarily in an area that is excessively humid. For the average person however, the chance of seeing any rust appearing is minimal.

The choice of color from red, black and gray means one is not limited in color preferences. With a $60 to $65 price tag, the amount of value the Kershaw Blur knife delivers is worth the price. Kershaw Blur knives can be purchased from your local store as well as online.
